Award for Watford Girls Grammar employee
A member of the support staff team at Watford Girls Grammar School was among ten other school employees to be recognised for his outstanding contribution, and visited Downing Street this week for a unique tour.
Stephen Morales of Watford Girls Grammar School was selected as being the best in his field and received special ‘support staff awards’ from the National Association of School Business Management. Morales was joined by employees ranging from a school cleaner to a catering manager, and an IT specialist to a teaching assistant, on the visit to Downing Street.
The Prime Minister said of the achievement: “Support staff work incredibly hard behind the scenes to ensure schools across the country run smoothly. They play an important role in school life and have made a valuable contribution to improving the standard of education which is now at an all time high.”
