Palace Theatre open day
Watford Palace Theatre is to open its doors to the public on Sunday 14 September as part of the celebration of its centenary year.
The event is free and there is no need to book, so anyone interested should visit the recently-restored theatre between 10am and 4pm on the day.
Some of the activities that visitors will be able to enjoy will include: backstage tours, sampling some of the theatre’s technical equipment, and meeting the staff who work at the theatre.
For the younger visitors, there will be storytelling, drama workshops, illustrated talks about the theatre’s 100 year history, costumes on display and the chance to see this the 2008 pantomime set in miniature.
The cafe and bar open at the theatre will be open, serving morning coffee and afternoon tea.
